Jac Hensen's Mission to Expand outside The Netherlands

Jac Hensen is one of the largest retailers in the field of men's clothing, with twelve brick-and-mortar stores, that parallel its successful online store. The online channel ensures that the smaller stores can also offer the entire product range. "The online store is the connecting factor between all stores." On paper, the online store represents about twelve percent of the total turnover, however, in practice, the contribution of the online channel is much larger. Jos says that about thirty percent of the web orders come from within a brick-and-mortar store. Four decades ago, the company started with one store in Amersfoort, now inhabiting twelve locations and a successful online shop –elucidating that Jac Hensen is still as ambitious as back then.

Integrations

  • Synced data: ERP (Custom ERP) ePOS (ComfortFashion) and e-commerce (Magento 2).
  • Full Catalog sync to e-commerce
  • Stock and availability
  • Omnichannel orders process
  • Refunds process
  • Delivery process, including Shipments, track and trace to e-commerce
  • Reporting data, in combination with data lake

Endpoints

  1. SOAP integration via Alumio iPaaS with a custom-built ERP (SOAP/XML) as the nucleus of information
SOAP is a messaging protocol specification for exchanging structured information in the implementation of web services in computer networks. Its purpose is to provide extensibility, neutrality, verbosity and independence.
  2. Magento Commerce Cloud
Magento Commerce Cloud integration via Alumio iPaaS with a custom-built ERP (SOAP/XML) as the epicenter of information. Alumio exchanges data with the Rest API of the Magento Commerce Cloud platform. The Magento platform is connected to the ePOS, where customer data orders, addresses, amongst other administrative data are exchanged.
  3. ePOS; ComfortFashion
All data, for example. orders and stock, whether online or offline, are synced through Alumio, so the data is always up to date. "We want our employees to be able to serve clients. As data exchange can bear a heavy load on the connected systems, through Alumio we are able to keep our core systems as stable as possible."
