AFL Groep's middleware solution stimulates rapid growth and scalability

A centrally distributed eCommerce landscape

AFL Groep are based in Noord Brabant, the Netherlands. The retail group has all consumables for logistics under one roof. As many companies deal with warehouses and distribution centers, they have a common understanding of the field of logistics and transport. Having all logistic purchases at one address is their specialty, alongside ensuring quality products, razor sharp prices, expert advice, and personal services. Through their Dutch and Belgian web shops, you can do all your logistics in one place as they act as a total supplier for everything you need from warehouse and delivery.

As AFL support the maintenance of logistics and deliveries of warehouses and distribution centers of companies, it was of the upmost importance that they have a stable and working online environment so that they can service their clients. AFL chose WeProvide as their implementation partner to rebuild their Adobe Magento Commerce webshop for a more seamless online experience as well as a replacement for their previous middleware solution which was shrouded by technical difficulties.

By connecting AFL’s ERP (Kerridge CS Unit 4 wholesale) to their eCommerce platform - Adobe Commerce (Magento), they were able to synchronize orders, shipment, product stock, prices, and supplier information in real time, streamlining their internal processes. Additionally, by connecting their ERP to Optiply (Automated Inventory Management) they were further able to sync supplier products, completed sales orders, product stock, purchase orders and purchase delivery lines from Unit 4 to Optiply. As a result, AFL Groep now have a stable middleware solution that can quickly adapt to the needs of their business.

Integrations & possibilities

Scalability for a renewable future

Alumio's integration platform proves itself as a pivotal role to future-proof AFL’s business by building an integration platform that can quickly incorporate new software creating a seamless and streamlined eCommerce platform.

Additionally, AFL use their web shops to reuse and recycle pallets which go hand in hand with delivery and production services. The flammability of these costs and their value affect both the environment and extra costs of businesses. Thus, by giving them to AFL they are used in a recyclable manner that saves the environment and offers compensation to companies and businesses alike who provide AFL with old pallets.
