At Alumio we are always looking for ways to improve and expand our platform. One of those ways is through offering a set of standard integrations which can be used to connect popular systems out of the box. We are proud to announce the availability of our latest connector template which can be used to connect with Stamped.io.

Stamped.io allows merchants to collect user-generated content through the means of product reviews. Using these services merchants are enabled with the ability to expand their brand recognition and turn customers into fans. Stamped.io provides this service by collecting order data from an e-commerce system to send review requests after purchase.

Magento example

To provide this service, Stamped.io collects orders from Magento through an extension. However, this does carry some risks for the merchant. When Magento releases an update, there is a reasonable chance that the module will no longer work properly because of changes to the platform. This can result in connection issues and problems in the data flow between the two systems.

For these reasons, merchants are encouraged to use the API. An API can be seen as a contract between two parties, in which agreements are made about how and where data from the platform can be accessed.

This connector template of Alumio use these APIs, or contracts, to make sure that all data moves from an e-commerce platform like Magento to Stamped.io in a safe, proper, and timely manner. Our connectors are comprehensively tested by a specialized testing company. This way, you are ensured that you keep momentum and never lose an opportunity to engage your customers in promoting your brand.

FAQ

Integration Platform-ipaas-slider-right
What is Stamped.io and how does it help e-commerce merchants?

Stamped.io is a user-generated content platform that enables e-commerce merchants to collect and display product reviews, Q&A, and ratings. It sends review request emails to customers after a purchase and provides tools to showcase reviews on the storefront, respond to feedback, and syndicate reviews to Google Shopping. Collecting authentic product reviews builds social proof that improves conversion rates for new visitors.

How does the Alumio connector template for Stamped.io work?

The Alumio connector template for Stamped.io connects the e-commerce platform to Stamped.io's API, synchronizing the order data Stamped.io needs to send review requests. When an order reaches the appropriate status, Alumio routes the order data to Stamped.io, which triggers a review invitation email. Using an API-based connector rather than a platform module means the integration does not depend on the e-commerce platform's extension framework and does not break with platform updates.

Why is an API-based connector more reliable than a Magento extension for Stamped.io?

A Magento extension that collects order data for Stamped.io is tied to Magento's core codebase. When Magento releases an update, the extension can stop working if its dependencies change, which can silently halt review requests without the merchant being immediately aware. Alumio's API-based connector communicates through both systems' stable, versioned APIs, logs every data exchange, and makes a failed sync visible and retryable from the integration dashboard.

What data does Stamped.io need from an e-commerce platform?

Stamped.io requires order data including the customer's email address, the order identifier, and product information (product names, SKUs, and optionally images and URLs) to send personalized review request emails. The timing of the review request is configured in Stamped.io based on a delay after order fulfillment. The integration platform sends the required order data to Stamped.io's API when the order reaches the defined status.

Can Alumio connect Stamped.io to e-commerce platforms other than Magento?

Yes. Alumio's Stamped.io connector uses Stamped.io's API as one endpoint; the e-commerce platform endpoint can be any system Alumio connects to, including Adobe Commerce, Shopware, Shopify, or WooCommerce. The data mapping from each platform's order structure to Stamped.io's required format is configured in Alumio, so the same review-request workflow can be replicated across different platforms without a separate integration build for each.

What are the benefits of managing Stamped.io integration through Alumio alongside other integrations?

Managing the Stamped.io integration through Alumio means it operates in the same monitored environment as ERP, PIM, and WMS integrations. Failed review request syncs are visible alongside any other failed data flows in one dashboard and can be retried without manual intervention. For merchants managing multiple review or loyalty platforms, centralizing them in Alumio provides consistent monitoring and error handling rather than separate point-to-point connections each with their own failure mode.
