Leading Dutch bike specialist "Gazelle" expands it's borders. The bike-brand Gazelle is part of the PON Group. The PONGroup is one of the largest companies in the Netherlands with a turnover rate of more than € 7.5 billion and over 12,000 employees worldwide. PON operates from hundreds of locations in 27 countries. Gazelle holds a monopoly in the Dutch market and is working hard to expand the organisation beyond its own national borders. Gazelle is a brand with two different target groups. The B2B target group which consists mainly of manufactures and the B2C target group which is, of course, the end customer.
Gazelle came to Alumio’s partner Youwe because they wanted to bridge the gap between their manufacturers and customers. In order to achieve this vision, Youwe built an eCommerce portal for both B2C as B2B linked with Alumio’s integration software to SAP ECC. Visitors can configure and buy their bicycles online, whilst additionally having the option to lease them. In an effort to offer this lease deal, a 2-way integration has been made with de Volksbank, so that the quotation from de Volksbank is offered to the visitor in real time as a lease proposal.
A Magento B2C website eradicates unnecessary intermediaries that lets you perform sales directly with customers. Magento B2Bportal; PON's digital partner created a B2B portal, based on Magento 2, to create a marketplace where dealerships could exchange their products with each other. Interestingly, this market-place is now also a web-shop where spare parts of a bicycle can be ordered. The B2B portal has been linked to SAP ECC where some services like B2B pricing, deliveries, spare-parts and stock data are based on real-time data-services, but also a bill of materials based on the frame numbers.
The eCommerce B2C and B2B portal (Magento 2) are connected to SAP ECC, where Alumio’s SAPNative connector was used to automatically create all the needed eCommerce web services.
The Native SAP Connector makes it possible to access data from the SAPECC, where it was linked via pre-built data routes to the connected Magento Commerce site – some of which in real-time. The connection between SAP and Magento is a universal communication interface that synchronises and updates any information between both systems instantaneously. With this integration, Gazelle can show their customers information about prices, stock and much more.
inRiver is a PIM solution and can automate manual tasks, eradicate duplicate work and the benefit of using SaaS solution. Meaning there is no need for additional purchases for hardware, upgrades or downtime. Furthermore, inRiver scale quickly in order to infiltrate new channels and markets – which builds a frictionless purchase for customers. In the end, inRiver leaves a lasting impression about product information that converts browsers into buyers at every touchpoint and more broadly speaking every channel.
The PIM system inRiver was connected to Magento to deliver an enriched customer experience. After the installation of the SAP-Connector (ABAP Stack) into SAP ECC, 22 web-services were created to establish a B2B and B2C portal afforded by Adobe's eCommerce solution otherwise known as "Magento". An array of digital services were thereafter available, from spare parts to returns which can all be accessed in the portal.
